Pirate Respawn Bug
So I had destroyed Anne Harlow after she was becoming a bit too meddlesome, but decided it was too boring without her and wanted to let her reclaim her island.

Every attempt to send ships (always two monitors) to the island would end with them getting intercepted by the other AI players' navies and getting sunk. Which is totally fine.

However, after multiple failed attempts, eventually Anne stopped trying. No more pop messages from her saying "I'm back from the dead." I looked on the Diplomacy screen, and there she is. Normally her portrait is absent when she's been defeated. I'm at War with her, but her island is still destroyed. There are no pirate ships. No activity.

Hate to say it, but I'm kind of starting to miss her...

Are you still seeing this? This was a known issue, but it should have been fixed with the release of the Sunken Treasures DLC.

I actually, I have not encountered this again.

However, I have seen something else. Keep in mind this is with a reload of an old save before Anne disappeared.

She got her island back. Yay!

Now, periodically, a new Reclaim mission will start. 3 Pirate Monitors will spawn and steam toward island. Once there, the "Destroy the Pirates Before they Re-Establish their Base" quest will begin, even though she already exists.

The timer will countdown and she'll behave same as always.

Not a huge problem, though.

I have the same issue, but with both pirates. They are still present and active in diplomacy, but won't come back to reclaim their islands. The New World pirate had come back once (prior to Sunken Treasures DLC), but his monitors did not move, and were eventually destroyed by me in an attempt to reset the cycle. The DLC has not fixed the issue for me, I'm afraid. I have 250+ hours in this Sandbox and I don't intend to start over :D

Help me, Ubi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.
