PC restarting with newest update
It may not be related but I have not had any issues until I started playing this newest update. Anyone else PC restarting during mid game, after this last update?

Hasn’t happened to me.

Check Windows Reliability Monitor the next time it does this. It should tell you which program caused the reboot and say what went wrong or give an error code.

After the reboot, type “reliability” in the search window and you’ll find the program. Or find it in the Control Panel, under Maintenance (I think), and click on “View Reliability History.”

A graph will show up, displaying your PC’s crash history for the last several days or weeks. Look for any red x on the current day and click on it.

Hey Tyler_davis21,

I'm just checking in to see how you're getting on?

What two things were noted as failing?

Do you need any further help at all?

hey! thanks for the reply. The two things wee IGCCTray and PWA Identity Proxy Host. Both stopped responding and were closed. Prior to that, same day, about 3 hours before a failed windows update happened. Not quite sure if that is related, but the IGCCTray and PWA identity proxy host happened right before the restart. I do not think it was related to the anno 1800 updated, but I dont really know how all this works together to say for sure.

IGCCTray = part of "Intel Graphics Experience."

PWA Identity Proxy Host = associated with Microsoft Edge browser.

I have had occasional crashes playing games when Microsoft is trying to do a windows update in the background.

Hi Tyler_davis21.

Thanks for confirming these details for us, and thank you, Bear, for providing some further context for these two failures.

You've mentioned that your Windows update has failed, would you be able to tell us if you've since been able to successfully install this update?

We'd like to advise working through our PC troubleshooting guide found {LINK REMOVED} which can help with common technical issues. These may not resolve the issue in this particular instance, however it'll still be helpful for us to rule common causes out.

If you require further assistance, would you be willing to let us know your GPU, CPU and operating system details?
