hud dissappears
so how do i get my hud back on when it suddenly dissappears with me having my hands on my keyboard? alt-tabbing does not work.

No need, steps to reproduce...

1. Play until you get the "you've been playing for two hours" notice.
2. Keep playing for another hour or so.
3. Observe UI disappear. No trigger, no warning.

The game world is still being rendered, even the UI layer works underneath, its just not being displayed - so you are able to Ctrl+S, Enter, Enter to save your game. The notification audio queue helps determine when the saving is done.

For some reason, this always happens AFTER the 2h warning. Its almost like its a sneaky deterrent to stop playing the game. This has happened *every* session without exception.

CTRL + G is the toggle to turn the HUD on and off. If that isn't working it's probably a bug that can be fixed by shutting down the game through Task Manager and loading it back up again. You will lose everything until your last autosave point (5 minutes of progress if you have autosave on).

Sometimes it helps to change sessions (numpad 1-5) for me.

Well, the only thing that you guys could be able to help with is fixing it i suppose. :)

This happens to me too. What works for me is the push the Windows key on the keyboard so that it exits the game window, and then click on the game in the taskbar to reenter.

just say it: it's an ultimate epilepsy protection - the game crashes before u run into health problems from staring into screen for too long
