"Family Bonds" quest bugged after High Life patch

It seems that since the new DLC released, the game can't progress past "Family Bonds" because the dialogue to provide schnapps just never appears. I would have thought this was a chance bug but I started a second new campaign hoping it just wouldn't happen again and the same problem is still there.

I can find forum threads with people complaining about the same bug dating as far back as April 2019 but it seems maybe it's broken again.

Has anybody else had the same problem?

Early campaign bug. Can't progress.

I'm new to Anno, so I played a bit in my first campaign and then decided to start over once I had a bit better grasp of the gameplay. Now I have two (similar) quests: Freedom and the Free Press (Select the Editor's ship at Edvard's harbor) and Family Bonds (Have in storage: 4 Schnapps).

Neither of these quests will let me progress this time. Clicking the Editor's ship does nothing, and I've got 10+ Schnapps and selecting Edvard's ship does nothing.

Any thoughts?

I got the same issue, clicking either ship is not progressing the quests and I also have +10 snapps

I wound up restarting my play-through and didn't run into the issue the next time, so you may just want to restart as it is pretty early in the campaign.

Just tried it as well, cant complete it. Tried clicking on the schooner, transfering it to the flagship and sailing away then back. Nothing... campaign is broken atm with this bug.

same here. try multiple campaign party, normal or custom.
each time ! stuck at "Family Bonds" - Can't progress in Campaign :(

Yeah this bug has come back around. The Fog over Ditchwater bug is also present.

Give them a few days to get around to a hotfix. It sucks to not be able to continue a campaign but the Sandbox is working fine and all the DLC questlines will activate once you get to their triggers.

so i tried several things and found out if u start with a non open (fog) map it works. so make sure to uncheck revealed map (off) in the start settings

+1 it works for me, with option revealed map (off) !

Been playing anno 1800 for quite a while and since i've been have successes in sandbox mode, thought i'd go back and do some campaign modes and after several attempts even after the high tower install i've been having issues with "Family Bonds" having 4 schnapps in storage - have 65 to be exact but the AI doesn't see them... can't move on with the campaign - seems like the issues hasn't been resolved?

Same problem with alcohol - really annoying if you spent a lot of money for game + dlc and it’s bugged after 30minutes - tried to start the campaign 3 times !

Found a way around the early campaign bug if you advance into crown falls then begin a little bit of quest then head back to edvards boat then you should be able to cont. game from there.

I've found a way around that bug get enough artisans to get to crown falls start a little bit of the quest go back to old world and try clicking on the scooner
