Problem: Anno 1800 is trying to write to your PC's "Documents" folder, but it's being denied access to that folder.
Solution:
a) Windows Start menu type "Controlled Folder Access"
b) When there, click "Allow an app through Controlled folder access"
c) Click "+ Add an allowed app"
d) From the drop down list, select "Recently blocked apps" if you tried to save an Anno 1800 game and it didn't work / or select "Browse all apps" if you're giving permission to an app for the first time
e) Select the "+" by the app you want to give access to.
Come to think of it, I had the same problem with Civitatem saves not working. Looks like this fix is a good one to keep handy. It seems to be coming up a lot.
What happened to Load Saves?
Just started play Anno1800 yesterday. I saved the game after spending couple of hours. But on main menu there is no loading games or etc. Just new game. Anno 1800 is located at (D). Maybe it is the problem but it is not make sense. Even now im trying to new game and save for just checking and still no loading games. always only new game at main menu.
Is there someone who know the solution
You will need to allow Anno 1800 to write into that folder. Quoting the steps that jcaf shared above:
This includes the entire folder that the game is installed in (Uplay\games), the entire Anno 1800 folder in Documents, and the entire folder in %Appdata%\Ubisoft. In general this needs to be done for all games that are installed from trusted sources such as Steam or Uplay.
