Combat Within The City ?
I've seen naval combat, but is there any combat that takes place in the city and buildings get destroyed ?

Nope, not in 1800. There have been combats on land in previous games of the series.

The game is really complicated. Especially if you got all DLC's on sale. I don't know that you would want much more combat with the AI in this game.

I didn't like the ground combat in 1404, which I loved otherwise. Since I avoid war altogether in Anno games, i'm not really qualified to judge the quality. But I remember having to fend off a ground invasion in the 1404 campaign and it sucked.

I agree. I for one am really pleased that there is no ground combat in Anno 1800, and also disliked being forced into it in the campaigns of 1701, 1404 and 1503. The amount has reduced gradually over the years to zero and I hope it stays that way.

i actually liked the combat in 1404, apart from the placement of the camps but apart from that it looked very good and was what war should be in anno games, slow and expensive.
