almost all Stamps from www.annostamps.com doesn't wok in game!

Hello fellow anno 1800 players

as the title says! I tried different types of stamps specially old world as I'm a new to the game, and almost all doesn't work.

I know about folders and sup folders being created for the stamps to work properly @: Documents\Anno 1800\stamps\

my game version is: 18.4.1412158 which is the latest!

any help in case I'm doing something wrong would be appreciated!

Did you double check you have the exact path? Should be C:\Users\[name]\Documents\Anno 1800\stamps\The Old World\[name of stamp]\[the stamp itstelf] for instance

yes, I already mentioned that... just didn't want to put the full path where my username on my PC... just put what would give the idea that when it comes to the right path... it is.

try this 1 for example please... tell me if it works with u

and for example this would go into:

even with renaming to shorten the name... still the same... doesn't work.. like almost every single other stamp I get from this site specially for new players in early game

Welp for such a small stamp it'll be easier to make it yourself in Creative mode or whatever rather than spending hours figuring out why the download won't work

The Stamps are working, they just have not the icon in Game you are probably
expecting. The Path on my end is this one here,

/home/user/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/916440/pfx/drive_c/users/
steamuser/Documents/Anno 1800/stamps/The Old World/Schnaps 3/

and i made a new Folder Schnaps 3 inside of it before starting the Game.

After downloading and extracting the Archive and not renaming the File, and
simply putting it in that Folder, that Stamp was usable in the Game.

So before you put a Stamp the manual way into any Stamp Folders, the Game
has to be closed, and should not run in the background any more.

The Stamp has the icon of Potatoes, and here is the Screenshot as an evidence.

I also have to agree with this Statement, because re creating this specific Stamp by
using the image as a reference will not take that long, and prevents possible headaches.

and let me give you a tip, it also work even if the game is running... all you need to do is to load a saved game and your added stamps will work.

That is indeed strange : ( the only idea i have i never added an external Stamp
as my very first Stamp to the Game, i made my very first one in Game.

Later i added two more from this Website to my Stamp collection, any others
have been made my myself.

So as an idea, delete the Folder The Old World including all the Files and Folders
in it of course, build then something in the Game (no matter what) and make a
Stamp from it.

The Folder "The Old World" should now being created from the Game again.

Then add the Stamp in question from the Website once more, and this time
do not rename File, just put it in the new Folder Schnaps 3
(or any Name you want to give) you have made.

Hmmm ... thanks for that tip i didn't knew that, i always followed the advice
from the Wiki.

You probably have microsoft one drive installed.. youll want to navigate to the stamps folder within the one drive instead of the standard documents it should say like usernameOneDrive/documents/anno.... etc

Try naming the stamp without spaces, something like baseschnappsproduction5x, I did that and it worked for me.

Also keep in mind you need to relaunch the game for stamps to be reloaded.

lol...
i went right away into creative mode and for myself different stamps.. city and production layouts..
took me around 4-6 hours and i had fun with experimenting..

sad thing i forgot that the new world hase its own stamps.. and had to make again stamps..

but it is funny to test things and figure things out..
