Ships of the Line of 19th Century - Inverted Bow?
Why do the Anno 1800 ship of the lines look so "weird"? Their front has this negative slope, i.e. the ships in game are like that |______\ instead of like that |_____/ where the symbol _ represents the sea. I was wondering if this is how ships in 1800+ were designed like but I can't find any evidence to it. Anybody knows why they made that design choice?

Afaik inverted bows are a thing that was somewhat popular ~100 years later with large warships around the 1900s, I dont know any examples of sailing ships to be honest, I think they just took some liberty.
I have finally found the ship that the Anno 1800 creators modeled their Ships of the Line after: French ironclad "Le Redoutable"
