baffled by the ceasefire

An island surrendered to me, I took the shares and see that there is now a ceasefire. There is no timer I can see for the ceasefire, how long does it last? Everything that I destroyed in the harbor is now rebuilt, does that mean the guns will open fire on me at the end of the ceasefire since the war is still on?

yes they will shot you if they are hostile to you

I don't usually play with the AI's but if you look in the Diplomacy symbol under the mini map there should be something about your current status with other characters. You can change the center portrait to any character to see their relations with others as well. If you already know this then ... i've no clue.

When you take shares, you own their stocks so half of money generated by city will go to you. You can use your stocks to buy island or keep taking money.
