i may buy wood if I run out of it in the early game and I am impatient and have money. But I usually do it manually sending my flag ship.
I don’t think do it automatically is practical, it may be very expensive and is much better to set another wood cutter and workshop.
Hmmmm… thinking about it is other possibility, remember for wood, logs is the “raw material” and you need the workshop to to turn it into wood planks and those planks is what actually you use as wood to build stuff. Just a wild idea.
Thanks for the reply, I am trying to buy the planks yes, maybe I need to start a fresh game, I am new to Anno 1800, played 1404 a bit, I am following the starter tutorial parts to get my settlement up and running so I am following what the game tells me to do, it has not got the part about buying items yet, I'll start again as I have only just started so no big loss really, and I can see whats going wrong. Thanks again.
I have found the problem, it was me lol. I built my saw mill and lumber yard too far from my warehouse, so instead of demolishing them and building them nearer I was trying to buy the goods, but as I am following the tutorial, certain things are locked until I pass the milestones, i.e buying goods. So in the end I demolished my Saw Mill and lumber yard and rebuilt them nearer my main warehouse, now I am producing wood and planks. Just like me.. a Plank. lol. Thanks again for your help.
Thank you for kindly taking the time out to share an update, It is great to hear you found a solution.
If ever we can help in the future, just let us know as we are happy to help.
