I'm sorry to hear that you cannot launch Anno 1800 anymore, even though it worked just fine a day ago.

The first thing I would like you to check is if you participate in the Steam Client Beta program.

We have come across multiple reports concerning multiple games that a recent update to the Steam Beta client causes these games to crash on launch. Reverting back to the old non-beta Steam client resolves the issue.
