Steam Anno 1800 Sale?

I bought the base Anno 1800 the other day (for $5.99 (sale)) to try it out and found that I liked it. Now I want the Definitive Annoversary (for $51.99 (sale)) which unfortunately already includes the base which I've already paid for. Steam should decrease the price who those of us who own the base game already. Double dipping much? Add to the fact if you purchase just the Season 1 through 4 Pass while on sale you'd be paying $47.46 which is only $4.53 less than if you bought the Annoversary Edition which as I've already stated includes the base game.

This is the 1st time encountering something like this that includes the base game to be purchased twice when wanting extra content. Without going off.....this is messed up and should account for those of us who already own the base game.

And then there's the issue with the Ubisoft Launcher crap that has to be dealt with if you want to play the game.

There a few games like that on Steam, usually by the time you find out, you already invested the money in the game. Guess you will have to see if it is cheaper to buy the DLC individually, or rebuy the base game again. Another game that does it this way is Little Nightmares, it is not a way to create customer loyalty.

Steam doesn't work like that.
Game editions are final. Discounts can be only made on bundles that contain multiple objects. Also it is up to publisher and Devs to setup such bundles and enable discounts, if any.

If you are below 2 hours. Just refound and buy different edition.
