Building the same Island

I wanted to ask is there a way maybe with a mod or a setting that can enable us to build the same islands. I ask this because me and my girlfriend when we play we would like to have the option to play lets say the same person so that we dont have to have different islands, but instead 2 to play as 1 and both of us can build the same islands?

Cooperative play is already integrated into the multiplayer mode.
When you're in the setup lobby for a multiplayer game, you'll find a couple of + symbols below your character / team portrait. Click on one of those, and then invite your girlfriend as another player of the same team.
A maximum of 4 players can play in the same team, controlling all of the same assets together.
