LOL, how do we do that on Proton? I wonder if they made some administration changes that broke compatibility with Steam Proton? Anyway, I'm just talking to myself since nobody is replying.
Yeah, all I get is a pop-up saying, "Unable to detect Ubisoft Connect Installation. Please make sure Ubisoft Connect is installed."
If you've already installed and ran the game in the past, I imagine this doesn't affect you.
I didn't have the same problems with Proton on Steam Deck but it's always nice to post a solution for those who'll come after you.
I honestly believe my Internet provider was blocking the download. When I access the ubisoft website, I still can't pull up the short link provided to download the installation executable by hand. After having UbisoftConnect installed, there are no issues with reaching the internal servers.
