Worlds Fair Unlock

I built the Worlds Fair on a different island than my capitol. The fair has electricity. I have commuter piers on all Old World Islands. I have 5,500 Investors. Yet when I try and open the Worlds Fair after selecting a theme, all options are locked. What am I missing?

Hmmm, maybe it's had to be on same island, commuter don't work for world's fair like that, I hadn't tried do world's fair without investors on same island. Communter feed workforce but world's fair is different.

They do indeed need to be on the same island.

I had some dumb moments and would try to build a worlds fair in a touristy area, but no investors on the island, and then after I built it I'd remember that damn they need investors on it haha. I even tried to do the investors tower on those islands, but unless you add all the arcade stores and stuff they aren't really profitable and not worth it to do the arcade stores and stuff for just one tower.

Ok, I thought World's Fair wouldn't be same as workforce once they builded, I assumed you can build world's Fair with workforce, but to use world's fair, it's use investors on same island, I don't think commuter supply Investors, only up to engineers, in new world, they use airport.

Thanks everyone. The World's Fair worked fine once I built it on my main/starter island. Rewards are less than spectacular, but hey, it worked!
