cant add animals to zoo

i collected some animals and theyre in my trading post. how do i put them in my zoo? it acknowledges i have them because they are semi-highlighten in the zoo animals menu... but there is a crate symbol in the bottom corner... meaning theyre in storage i assume.

You have to build the zoo, then add modules(cost 10 influence), then add animal to module.

ive built the zoo but not a module. do you mean the empty compound?

Yes, every animal needs its own compound.
