I initially didn't like Enbesa
As the title says, I I'm pretty new and ignored Enbesa for awhile cause didn't really like it but then saw you can get research from it, which looks like a must have.

I'm starting to like Enbesa more and doing trade routes like this and applying it to other region routes as well.

That's the problem of Enbesa in my opinion. It doesn't stand for itself, people just go there to get the institute. I hope future Annos will treat their non main worlds a bit better. The treatment the new world got with season 4 should be the standard.

I've mostly only been in New world, old world, Enbesa and a little in cape. I moved to slow (or to quick I probably shouldn't have even gone there yet) and beryl took over all the islands in cape heh. Soon I'll make the journey to the Arctic.

I can see people liking the new world better. I went to new world shortly after Enbesa and sort of just abandoned Enbesa after seeing what the new world had to offer.

Enbesa grew on me though and different style of play vs new world and old world. New and old seems you want to go big. Enbesa i'm keeping it small though.

ISTM the research institute is over-rated. Getting anything done takes a long time. Most of what you can do can be done in other ways, perhaps more cheaply, although you have to get lucky. It's difficult to decide what to do with it, because whatever you do gets more and more expensive. You usually need an army of spare engineers as well as scholars. It's nice enough to have, of course, but I'm just a little disappointed and wonder how much is worthwhile.

It's a grind. The item discovery process is terrible, pushing a button, waiting until the points are in, push it again until all the 100s of items are discovered is a drag. After that is done it's pretty handy to get whatever item you want of course, but getting there is depressingly mind numbing. It's perfect for record builders, but I have more fun just playing the game and use the tools I get randomly. That's why I play without it in my current playthrough. This game throws so many powerful optimization tools at you, more with every DLC, that unless you want to squeeze every little bit out of the game, you don't need all of them.

Again, in the next Anno I'd like the non main worlds to be fun building on and having meaningful interactions with the main world instead of just being something people rush through to get something like the institute. Manola and the haciendas are a great example. More of this, please.

Yea could be it's not really needed. Just want to try out everything at least. I mostly want tools that improve raw, agriculture and components. Especially agriculture so be able to reduce the amount of my farms. Also the move and change resources tool from researching sounds really nice.

Haciendas are pretty nice, good example of a way to reduce my farming, with either smaller plots or the fertilizer. It's sort of hard, other than on Manola, to optimize the use of Haciendas though.
