I may reinstall anyways and try the mod to slow it down to the .25 and see how it goes since I already bought this full priced.
That's why all "Pause" mods aren't really pauses either, they just slow the game down more.
This limitation comes because being a Real-Time game was a feature of Anno games, just like how you can't pause and issue commands to units in an RTS game. That's not a flaw, that's how it is meant to be. They intended it to be this way, so building and coding it from the ground up so that the game doesn't stop makes it difficult to switch four years after launch.
People think it's an easy change, it's not.
Maybe in the next Anno game they'll include active pause when they start from the beginning to work it in.
Have you seen the end credit of the game ???
I am sure that if there is no active pause that is because that is no possible ...
Just for said ^^
Not on my computer. All annos i have don´t allow me to even look around when paused.
for the mesages: option/gameplay there you can switch of the advisor and some of the alarms
I installed it but can't make it work reliably. I'm not absolutely sure that it ever worked for me. From what I understand, the slowdown is activated by pressing 9 on the keypad, and presumably this is with num-lock enabled (because without it that key does something else). But it is a toggle, so supposedly you press the key again to return to half speed instead of quarter speed.
I've compared the elapsed time in-game against my watch, and pressing numpad 9 doesn't make a difference, at least sometimes. It's always half speed. Suggestions, anyone?
I heard there was a mod for this, but now its outdated. I will have to use 0.25 but sincerelly hope they implement pause and build, as it does make every sense.
