Best season pass year?
If I had to choose just one season which would be the best value for money? is there an agreed upon best pass? Or is it more of a preference thing?

Very much a matter of preference. I wouldn't even pick a pass but a few DLCs. Docklands, bright harvest, seeds of change, new world rising. But that's just me, everyone will tell you something different. Wanna build big? Sunken treasures plus high life and tourists. Want more regions? Land of Lions and the Passage. Want to optimize the hell out of the game? Docklands, Palace, Land of Lions for the institute, bright harvest...

I really don't know what to recommend, because I don't know what you want from the game. There is a nice season pass review series on yt, four episodes and a summary. Here's the latter:

I don't really agree with this guy's tierlist, but that's how it is, a matter of preference.

The Season 1 & 2 passes are the best cuz they feature brand new regions to explore with new production chains for new goods.

I bought Season 1, with Bright Harvest and Docklands on top.

It really depends on your preferences about the gameplay and what you want to do in the game

Mostly preference but from what I gatherd most agree Docklands and the one with the science institute are top tier. It comes down to what you like in the game!
