My suggestion is to try it for free first, you can google which client it is that has the game for free, or buy the game and refund within 2 hours. However 2 hours is not really enough time to figure out the game imo

i played about 25 h in to free week and then bought 4y edition here on steam and even my progress from free game was saved so it is quite nice.
Right now im about 45h it to a game. and not even close to finish my first play...
You mean some kind of campaign?
To be honest, Im not a huge friend of RTS games. Im more of a turn-based kind of person. Especially ones that don't show anything when you pause them. Singleplayer with a pause is somewhat ok, like Stellaris. But the demo that I tried showcases the problem: I cant plan things while the game is paused.
This game looks amazing and its the perfect age as a flavor... but Im worried I won't like it in the long run.
I have 600 hours in Stellaris in comparison..each new save feels different.
Campaign - base story line take me about 25 hours of play then your save is converted to "Sandbox" mode. About 15-20h was Land of lions DLC story line. Now im in Sunken treasures (at begining) and Arctic story line (dont know the name of the DLC) (offered me as expedition but i did not started it yet). Still playing on my first save , i did not tried scenarios.
Slowly building my economy, exploring expeditions, new buildings and production chains i did not tried tresure maps yet.
