How do I play the DLC?

Like "The Passage" or "Land of Lions"? Are they supposed to be scenarios? I can't find where to start them.

When you start a new game, you will be asked which of the DLCs you own you want to be active. They are all part of the sandbox or campaign, not a standalone thing. At certain points in the game you will get a notification like "hey I heard there's a mysterious land in the south, let's do an expedition" (Land of Lions) or "my husband has vanished in the Arctic, let's do an expedition" (the passage) or "hey, how about using a silo on your animal farms?" (bright harvest) or "hey, how about building a docklands?" (docklands). All the DLCs will be unlocked during gameplay and the game will always tell you

Land of lions are available after completing an expedition once you have 100 Artisans.

It's basically the same way you get into The New World - you send an expedition out when they get available and find new regions

Several of the DLC add new buildings, these usually become available once you have certain amount of specific workforce.
