Buying bear fur from Inuit

The inuit sell bear fur manually but when I try to set up a trade route it doesn't show up on the list. Anyone knows why?

Mh, my bear fur trade route is shown in the list and works fine. Maybe you have set a filter in the list?

Maybe I worded that badly. I mean when I choose the inuit in the trade route menu I can't choose to buy bear fur from him. It shows pemican, seal skin etc, but not the bear fur. But if I go there manually he is selling bear fur. Confusing.

So I just experimented with that now, and yeah I'm experiencing the same thing. Bear Fur is not an option. I've never traded for it before so I never kept track of how things are supposed to work.

How far along are you in the Arctic campaign? I just began The Passage, so I'm still fairly early on. My guess is that MAYBE it's one of those deals where it won't offer the item until you are actually able to produce it yourself.

EDIT: No, nevermind. Something is DEFINITELY wrong. I went to make an adjustment to my trade route with Eli Bleakworth, and it now won't give me the options for trading for Zinc and Copper, even though they were available before.

That's weird. It's working for me now, but I don't know why. Maybe you need to have tecnicians before he sells it, I think I didn't have them when I first tried. But it doesn't make sense that you can buy it manually but not in a trade route. With what you're saying about Eli it sounds more like a bug.

Apparently it's just some weird, temporary bug. I started up the game today, and trade with Bleakworth is normal.

Hmmm, the neutral traders (Bleakworth, Kahina, etc.) always have the same inventory for me. They never change. Bleakworth always wants soap, and always sells ores.

But also, if we clicked on the Trader we would see they still have the item to sell, it's just that it wouldn't let us set up a Trade Route for it. Restarting the game seems to fix that, though.

There is a bug for some items when you have to buy it once first, to make it work in the trade routes.

Same thing happens with pocket watches for example.
So just go there manually and buy one to fix it.
