Already own the game on Ubi, problems if i buy again on Steam?
Hey Guys!

I already own the game on Ubi connect. Im thinking about buying it again on Steam.
Does anyone know how it is handled, if i already own the game and will activate a second copy on the same Ubi account? Do i have two copys on Connect? Is it even possible or will i run into problems? Need to make a second Ubisoft account for example.
Or is it even possible to get a steam key from Ubisoft, to activate on my steam account?

- You can't activate it twice on the same ubi account
- You can't get steam key from ubi

That means you'd have to make a new ubi account for the steam game.

If you just want this because steam has discounts, check out ubisoft
https://store.ubisoft.com/ie/dlc-brands-anno-1800?lang=en-ZW

DLCs are discounted too just not in the season packs.

Same thing... just want the Steam integration but already own the game on ubi.
Do I need to re-buy ? Or I can just activate something somewhere ?

Just add this game as a non-steam game on your Steam account and point Steam to its launcher or executable file instead. ? That's what I do for all non-Steam games and it works flawlessly.
How do you do that?
I assume its more complicated than adding it to a collection you title 'non-Steam games' lol.

The proper way to access the game .... Link your Ubisoft account to your Steam account and play thru Steam client:
• Launch any Ubisoft game from the Steam client.
• After the Starting game pop-up appears, select Continue.
This will open a new window in your internet browser.
• Log in to your Ubisoft account.
If you do not already have an account, select Create a Ubisoft account.
• Select Link accounts.

He doesn't own it on steam, this would only work that way, and this is the only way to launch it anyway, when bought from steam.

He owns it on ubi, and wanted to link it to steam, which is not possible in this order.

I have several double entries with different dlc entries on my ubi account, I cannot guarantee though. If you try and it fails you can get a refund if NOT played longer than 2hrs, so be sure to look at what is running at your steam client...

I was about to buy the Year 4 Complete Edition, but already own the base game on Ubisoft Connect when I saw this thread.

To clarify, I can't do this at all? Or can I add the DLC from Steam to the Ubisoft account without adding the base game from the Steam version?
