World's Fair location
I'm about to settle Crown Falls for the first time and want to do it right. Of the city plans at the Wiki, the most sensible-looking one to me is "Superb City". The bank is central. I just wonder whether three power plants with flanking railroad tracks on both sides are necessary. I might try to make do with two, and perhaps increase the number of houses in a block beyond six.

A couple other plans have the World's Fair at the center. Why? Is there any benefit to doing this? I've always placed it to one side of the city, just close enough to receive electric power.

Only thing I can think of is they are accounting for Tourism and want the World's Fair strategically located to give all the Hotels good access?

Hello,
The most useful plans was this one with houses covert by Town Hall and post offices...
the others are alls more ancient but you may try it for the fun..
This is the Eiffel Tower which must be at the center.. Don't care for the World 'Fair..
After for the Palace , it is another story..^^

Place it wherever you want. Build an amusement park area, wine tasting stalls, pumpkin weighting area, etc. around it. Make a complete extravaganza area. It's a World's Fair .. the building itself is just an exhibit. Just MHO!
