Anyone ever tried this?

I decided to simply not go to the new world at all this playthrough.
I use the ''actor'' item to give my Artisans rum.
I use the ''costume designer'' item to get fur coats.
And just like that you can get all the way to engineers without ever going to the new world.
And with Crown Falls from the Sunken Treasure DLC you can build a MASSIVE population with farmers, workers, artisans and engineers without needing the new world.

And the fun part is that the 1 star competitors don't go to the new world until you do.

Anyone else ever got this idea?

Of course ... and you are able to go to investors.. but never passed more than 3000 or 3500...

if you are playing with just 1 star ai, you dont really need to contain or limit them. but if you are playing against other than 1 star ai, then your strategy wont work.

playing with 3 stars ai, rush to discover the new world then take over all islands in the new world. they wont send warships over to the new world, only attempt to buy share, even if they manage to succeeding take over, that gonna slow them by a few hours.

1 star AI wont go to the new world untill I do so yes it works perfectly against them.

1 star AI will also ask permission before they settle an island so you could technically forbid them to take any New World island.
However I've learned that this only works for a limited time. At some point they get tired of you saying no and they will stop asking and just take what islands they want.

How do you get coffee?

Simply just buy it to Kahina ...And now after may be is it possible to go to Embessa and unlock the Research institut but i never tested..
