Cant get more than 80 farmers in my first mission, next to the dockhouse I've put the fishing post, and Im hemmoraging cash for some reason. Should I only have 1 next to the warehouse?

You can put the fishery along any shore line as long as they are connected to a warehouse and that warehouse is connected to the main warehouse by a road. You need enough fisheries to satisfy your populations need. Turn off any industry that is over producing and check your statistic - production screen to see if your producing enough fish, if that in fact is the problem. If your farmers needs are satisfied build more house or upgrade to Workers.
FYI: You can place a fishery anywhere within the shore lines area of affect, even off-shore, as long as it's connected to the main land by road.

So I watched a video of a guy running through the campaign, and all he did was add more houses, and that worked. Proceeded to go broke 20 minutes later because I don't know how economy works, and I lost 10 out of my 50 grand starting. First go ain't great, but Ill try next time. Thanks for the info man.
