Saltpetre Works is Kicking my A**

New to this game and have progressed pretty well until it's time to make saltpetre... I need it for the oil that runs my helium factory, etc., and it says it's only available in the old world. Ok cool, so then I go to the old world and I have two islands with nitre on them. I have a large population, free beach space and for the life of me I can't find the saltpetre works. My NPC opponents have them, but I don't have the build option. Can anyone help unf*** the newbie on this? I checked my artisan build chain and the others and couldn't see it anywhere.

Saltpetre works become available with the explosives production line that you need for the heavy artillery production line, iirc.

You need some engineers. Next uprgrade from artisans.

Could you let me know how to build it?
I have few thousand engineers and artisans, can build ariships, but on islands with satpetre source I can´t build it. I don´t see it in any category in building options.

It's part of the heavy weapon production chain.

With the right DLC, you can get Salpeter in the New World too...
Alpaca Farm gives that.

just doing buy orders in the old world and then using your ships to send it to the new world seems to be the best option if youre trying to get helium fast.

you build it in the heavy weaponary section.. and then you build it at the beach.. like quarz sand.. you mine it at the beach. plus pigs and tallow ect..
