I think of this game as machine design. Each world is a machine. I get one running smoothly and then move to another. To my mind, getting everything to run smoothly with me acting as an occasional fireman means I have won the game. For me a big part of the enjoyment is watching the stats to see that all is well or to jump on what isn't
let me know if you want to see my save file. I am so centralized and such a micro manager i never leave the slowest speed.
go to queen map and new world and go to north you will find continent
use hacienda in new world when you are confortable with your village or town in new world, they are huge boost, especially if you begin to miss space to build more resident
use flametrower turret, they only cost 20 canon, very effective against opponant ship, only battleship is real threat against them and yet it is pyrhic victory for battleship agaist flametrower turret if the battleship is not micro managed
try to get electricity boost for your corp building, help a lot if it is hard for you to manage your oil power plant and gas station
use silo, they are cheap and will boost animal
I have unlocked this one on May 2019 , so only with the old and new world..
But the conditions are totally changed at this day .. it was possible before to play with 2 AI one star and one AI two stars on the most difficult game ...
Anyway follow the advices given more hight.
The production screen (learn how to use/read it) and the % of production.
The green bar = current production, the blue bar = current demand, shaded means anticipated.
Use CTRL+lmb to make any selection of 2 or more islands and use the % to fine tune the production.
The beauty is you can create an equilibrium real easy. Something that was so much work (and could be so fragile) in all other Anno games.
The production screen is gold and makes keeping track of you empire that much easier.
