If i only had to pick one DLC; I'd get the Sunken Treasure one. Adds a huge island that is nice to build a Megacity on top of, with lots of room to spare lol. Its become my main base now.
Complete edition is all the content DLC. All the cosmetics are sold separately, but are well worth it imo. There's a lot of cool stuff in there! And man... those streetlights are just... awesome
The ingame search system for the ornaments, or rather the absence of one, can be a bit frustrating when you are looking for something specific but there's a copy tool that kinda serves as a workaround.
The paintbrush tool is pretty easy and awesome to use. It's very easy to cycle through all the different buildings on the fly. Unlike searching for ornaments, this is very well implemented.
If all you want to do is build, you can tailor the game to that. Disable all the AI including the pirates, set the economy to easy and you don't have to worry about a thing. The sandbox options are really flexible.
The full game isn't cheap, even when on sale, but well worth to spend €80 on (if you want everything).
I will be playing this for a long time. Top notch citybuilder... doesn't get much better than this. Recommend!
side note anno1800 is only 35euro on turkish steam for full game and all 12 dlc from the first 4year passes
