Newb question.
I bought the game and 3 DLC's. Th Arctic, Africa and Sunken Treasure. I guess I'm in the Old World playing a normal City Building game.

I guess the DLC's are in the "New World" as I can't find them on the map I'm playing? A button on the bottom left of the hud took me to what I think is the New World. All I find there is Eden's Burning and help building a Dam. And a way back to the Old World.

How do I get to my DLC's or when? Been watching some youtubes, but can't find what I'm looking for. The DLC's were check marked as I set up my Sandbox Game.

thanks
g

I just got invited to an expedition and set my ship off. Maybe this is it.

The basic game starts in The Old World. The expedition you started should take you to The New World. Once there you will be able to switch the mini map between the two and once settled it will show up on the World Map view,
Sunken treasure - you will get a quest from Archibald that the Queen is missing which will take you to discover Cape Trelawney. (Sunken Treasures)
I don't remember what has to happen to get the quest for the Arctic or Enbessa. May be a population target or citizens class, like engineers.
Are you playing the Eden Burning scenario? Because I do not know if any other region is available in that scenario. Never played it.
Bottom line you need to Discover the other regions before you can see them.
Have fun.

Ok, thanks and no I didn't do the Eden's Burning.

I'll just keep plugging along. I'm getting questions from the quest about injured sailors at the moment. That cell phone coverage was pretty good back then.

You explained that simpler than anything I've found yet.

Ok, I'm in a new world, not sure which one. So I build a new town on a new map while the first town is still going? And I've got 2 more new worlds to go to?

My ship just left on another adventure while I was given another ship for this new world.

umm

Ok relax. What you are doing is playing the campaign, it is somewhat guided and limited.
Just follow the story and also build what you feel like.

It might be that some DLCs unlock later once you are done with the story.

Also yes, you play on all the maps simultaniously. Right now you discovered 2: Old and New World. Right now Old World is where you probably make your money and New World is mainly for supplying it.

I'm playing Sandbox mode. So like all the Warehouses are hooked together no matter which map you are on?

I've got 1 New World area unlocked and 2 more expeditions going. I'll just go where it takes me.

thanks

Warehouses are common only for a single island of a single map, other islands or other map need shipments.

Thanks guys. Yow, I thought about the warehouses later even though I haven't built anything on the Island yet in the New World. That is was only per Island on the warehouses and ships to deliver.

I'm tightening up my 1st settlement to be more self sufficient. Before I start another.

I just got $30,000 from somewhere, so this may be the Investor guy. As I have an expedition going in an Icy area at the moment after I got the money. Along with an expedition in I think Africa (the other DLC).

Thanks guys for the info

Sorry, i dont know why i assumed you did the campaign, in my defence i had a fever.

But maybe you should, its basically a tutorial and explains a lot.

the sandbox has a tutorial also, I played it first and then started over. It's a pretty straight forward City Builder w/ships. I've been playing Land of Vikings which is a scaled down version of this game w/ships.

The DLC's are different, or a method I haven't seen to unlock.

thanks, I'll take any advice

Early on it can be a bit overwhelming, but there's no rush. Just concentrate on one problem at a time. Before you send ships off on expeditions you need to make sure they have the correct supplies as some come with bonuses for exploration and the more advanced the product the better the bonus. You'll get there. Good luck!

I went back to where the guy me $30,000 for the arctic expedition. I've got lots of stuff for sale for the trading ships showing up. They just don't buy enough.

I've got about 150 each of 3 different population ranks up to Artisan. I might have 250+ Artisan now. I have plenty supply for consumption of every item they offer me to make. Along with plenty left over to sell if they would buy. They buy some, just not enough.

Oh I won't give up. I'll go to youtube if I have to.

thanks
