Any good money making methods?

Hey, im a city builder veteran, and i just bought this games complete edition, and i know for a fact that most city builders have one or two amazing money making methods eg: tropico 5s Beer factory, are there any for this game?

Well, Anno is huge and the complete edition even more so.
You can make money off of lots of things, listing them all would be listing half the game.

But anyway, the first (smallish but effective) money making scheme you'll encounter is probably selling soap to Eli.
Also, once you have some happy investors you're probably not going to ask for money again.

In short, just play the game, don't care too much about earning lots of money. It's only really important as long as you don't have any. And in a pinch, the newspaper can provide some large, temporary boost to income.

UbiSoft seems to have it all figured out, that's for sure....

Buy Gramophones and Watches in the old world and sell them in Enbasa. It has a startup cost but through no effort you can make millions... Add a ship character that reduces trade cost to make even more profit.

Hmm, I don't know. As I said it's the earliest thing you can do that pays well. But compared to other possible trades or even passive income later in game it is really not much at all. Soap is just the easiest thing to achieve and scale in early game (and the only one you may actually need).

Try selling beer to pirates. Or sell weapons to Isabell. Gramophones for Ketema. Combine with Docklands for even more money.
