Will there be more seasons after Season 4?
I don't have season 3, and 4 is already here. Will there be more seasons in the future? I want to buy a complete package for cheap, instead of getting a dozen of DLCs separately.

The reception on the annual new content is still going pretty strong so there's no reason for Ubisoft or Blue Byte to end the practice at this point. Anno 1800 is so well made that there isn't even noticeable request from the Anno community for a new Anno game yet.

You may have to wait quite a while for a 'complete package', or you can just wait for a discount on the season passes.

Who know, maybe they keep making season 5 like Princess Qing, chinese theme building and ship or something, or no more season but just bug fix here and there before move on next new anno game.

Yeah I wish Ubi did regional pricing. Even $60 is a LOT of money where I live

Personally, I'd love to see a Season 5 focused around introducing another map set in Asia. Princess Qing and her background already imply there's interesting stuff going on (Emperor vs. Empress?), there's a huge potential for all kinds of potential and mechanics, *and*, to top it all off, there's also relevant historic stuff happening in Asia in this time period in our world.

I'm torn.

I absolutely love Anno 1800 and so would be happy for continued support.

On the other hand, I'm afraid the game might start to become a bit bloated with more and more content on top of it. I've seem this happen quite often with Paradox games like Europa Universalis 4, for example, and I wouldn't want it to happen here.

Buuut I think there would be no harm in just one more year. I certainly would buy it, at least.

Yeah as a CK3 fan who used to play CK2, it used to feel like 50 different mods loosely duct taped together. At least Stellaris has two different teams where one is working on new content while the other is polishing old stuff.

Hoping for an s5 as well
And since they added the gallery and scenario's hoping either enbesa the arctic or both get 3rd tier housing in s05
Humble Dec 4, 2022 @ 7:04am
Yesh, all scenario is based on new world, but no old world, no arctic, no enbesa scenario as well, and I like some useful item add to gallery, especially a legendary item, but it's may be seem like overpower, but it's not, not when one play anno 1800 for long time and restart game too many time due new patch, so I don't think that overpower, and you had to do scenario again and again to collect golden ticket all over again every 2 to 3 hour at least to get one. I think it's all right and balance, as long as it's useful item, not useless item, that is. It's nice change to get legendary item in early game, I do wish all A.I can sell item on trade right, not just hugo.

No they just announced on Anno Union (the developers website) that this game is complete now

Our 2023 plans
Let’s start with the elephant in the room, a question that we have seen asked many times recently: Will there be a Season 5?

Anno 1800’s success and popularity has enabled us to provide more post-launch support than for any previous Anno title. When we created our DLC plans all those years ago, we did not expect to still work on our “baby” in 2022, and still have so many of our fans regularly coming back to our game, discussing features and providing their feedback or suggestions.

To use a metaphor: Just like a year comes to a close after four seasons, so will Anno 1800 see its end of main development after Season 4.

Only a quality of life patch in 2023 and some cosmetic DLC

Honestly the game has gotten super bloated the way it is, and by the current end game runs poorly to say the least, it doesn't need more systems in it.
Humble Dec 6, 2022 @ 7:24pm
Ah well, I do wish just one more big dlc for far east, asia because it's good setting for time 1800 and 1800 explorer as well, because once they stop working on anno 1800, then it's good chance there is no making year of anno 1800 again, with no asia, it's was interesting time to be in 1800 and do all explorer world in setting of 1800.

While people said game run poorly and bloated, it's can get better by better computer, computer always improved and changing for many year now but for game, not so much, because one they stop working on game, it's gone for good and high chance they won't return to old game to improve while computer is only can get better power as time went by as long as you had money to buy new computer, while game become outdate and most company wouldn't upgrade game. When come to the game, it's best to put everything best in game before move on.

It's very rare company return to old game and improve, even add DLC, only thing I know company do this is age of king 2, age of empire 2, that is only game they willing to work on old game even add new DLC.

Yes, there is few company upgrade game to History Version or remastered version all that, but all they do is improve graphic, nothing more, no bug fix, no add new stuff at all, it's just remastered version with improve graphic, nothing more, even cause more bug than original like skyrim, so go on.

In long term, I prefer they do season 5 as final, add far east Asia then patch up before move on to new game.

Good news to be honest. Now everyone can finally learn and understand all the controls and tactics properly without the fear of being overhauled again in a few months' time.

I don't know it's good new, in long term, it's would nice to add far east, then you had every kind of world type in setting of 1800, they will not make anno 1800 part 2, is why some wish season 5 that add far east, I think long term, computer can get better any time but not game, too many company do not improve game, they just forgot game, and gamer wish more when played on type game for long time. Computer always can be improve, but game, they won't come back to improve game, nor they will make game again on based of 1800 setting.
