What is the requirement to build a Research Instiitute and where can u build it.

Can u build it in any of the worlds? and what are the requirements to build it. There is all kinds of info out there as to what to do if u build one and something about needing a "Major Discovery" to build a scholar house are these connected?

I have been playing for hours if not days and still nothing ; I have not seen that quest from Biniam., in the Old World or any of the other worlds BUT have completed many other quests. Does anyone know if that Mod from Nexus Mods for the Research Substitute works OR will it conflict with the latest Cheat Happens update

I don't use mods so can't help you there.
Don't know why you haven't come across the require quest for the Institute.
Maybe you have a bug. Try reaching out on Anno 1800 Union to the Developers.
Sorry I could not be more help. I would like to know when you do finally get it. I just can't believe there isn't always a way to unlock it regardless of quest.

That is OK So thanks for all the help . There is a mod for Anno 1800 that alows u to bypass the required quests that allows u to build the RIN But I have not tried it yet and I use Cheats for this game and it may conflict with that That mod is at Nexus Mods

You know, and it may sound crazy, you can always go in your SAVE folder and load a way earlier save and kinda of start over in Enbesa. Just jot down the save date where you are now so you can always reload it. I've done it on a few of my games. You will lose all that you have done but you just may find out what went wrong and if you actually missed an opportunity to build the institute. Just a thought. You could even use it to try the mod without affecting your current game.

Mindbender,
If you google The Rise of Emperor Ketema it will list each quest needed to release the Research Institution.
Again you do not need to unite the tribes or follow the Enbesa story line.
