What is the requirement to build a Research Instiitute and where can u build it.

Can u build it in any of the worlds? and what are the requirements to build it. There is all kinds of info out there as to what to do if u build one and something about needing a "Major Discovery" to build a scholar house are these connected?

You have to settle in Enbesa first off. You can go through the entire story line, which is very long and, I fine tedious and uneventful, or just opt out of the request to help unite the other indigenous islands. There's no repercussions for not doing it. After you reach 300 Elders the Research Institute is unlocked.
It can only be built in the Old World or Cape Trelawney.
The Major Discovery is one of the research fields in the institute which opens a screen to research Scholars residences. Note that their houses do not need to be built on the island with the institute but they do require a University.
You may want to search on You tube for a more in depth there are a lot of go tutorials on the whole process.
Hope this made it all a little more clear...it is a somewhat complex procedure.

I have 300 + elders in Embassa but in order to build a Sc ollar's house it states that I must complete or finish a "Major Descovery" what is thaat and how do I do it

Ok! So i'm assuming you have not built the Institution yet. So, there is a quest you need to complete in the Enbesa region that will give you the permit to build it, I do not remember what triggers that quest. It's been awhile since I needed to do all this but I'm pretty sure once you get the permit you will be able to build 5 Scholar houses (the number 5 will appear above the scholars house building icon, any additional houses will need to be researched. The only Major Discovery I am aware of is in the Institution as a field of research you can select in order to research more houses among other fields and items.
So to summarize:
If you got the permit...build the Institution, it requires electricity and Engineers to function.
Once built click on it and click on the circle to open the Fields of Research screen.
You should be able to build 5 houses and provide them with what is needed to increase their population which will give you more research points to build more houses.
If I've missed something I apologize, but all the information is in the game somewhere.

I am aware of above, thanks for the help by the way SO u don't know what triggers the quest in Embassa do you? That dis the only thing standing in my way I have been on this world for a while, I am well into the game I played for hours finally the King offered plans but it was with groups of people on land so I gather you have to go in First Person and collect the plans on on land

The quest is Biniem"s Vision - Great Plans
Instructing you to "shop around for Research Institute proposals. Architects at Waha Desher's harbour".
You just click you the people highlighted by an arrow above them. there are three of them on three different islands. I think that may be what your referring to.
I also read that if you hover over the institute build image it will tell you what you need to build it and you need around 800 Elders.
Sorry I can't give you exact directions but you'll figure it out, i'm sure. Let me know when you finally get it okay.

If you don't know already and your in the Arctic learn how to clip your gas mines to produce tons of gas. You can actually run Crown Falls on gas electric power plants.
It is an awesome game and extremely addictive.

Which class of people build the research institute, engineers, investors etc I have completed all quests in Embassa but still nothing; saw the plans for it but can't find how to build it and I have 300 elders etc; it appears I have met all the requirements and still can't find a way to build it on either the old world or Cape T How do u get all the clans to unite?

The icon for building it is under Scholars. It may still be dark in which case hover over it to find out what else is needed. I think that's were the 800 Elders comes in. There should be a #5 above the build icon to allow you to build 5 scholar houses to get your research points started. You will need Engineers to actually research anything.
Sounds like your almost there.
You have to do the entire Enbesa story line to do that and it takes hours. King what's is face should have asked you if you wanted to help him unite them earlier?

The only thing under scholars is their houses and it says I have to make a Major Discovery to build the house which requires the Research Institute to do that. Do the Embasa Quests stop coming or it there an end to them Looks like I am ♥♥♥♥ out of luck my last hope is, if I can get the Embassa Tribes to unite and I am not sure how to do that Please help I really want that Research Institute

You do not have to unite the tribes. There are several quest in Enbesa that you have to complete and work your way through until you get the request from Biniam to build the institute foundation. Has Archibald Blake showed up in Enbesa yet? cause he plays a part in this as well. The institute is built in several steps, I think 3 but not sure.
I would suggest just continue to build in Enbesa and the quests will eventually come up.
You are right in that there are no real play troughs that show how exactly it all comes together. I was just following Raptors vids and the quest popped up in part 4 but it happened so quick that you can't determine what triggered it. So you can check his vids on You Tube or just keep playing till it happens....but uniting the other tribes is not necessary.

Thanks for all your help. The one thing I noticed is that I built on the same Island as the King of Embasa I wonder if that was the thing that screwed it up because I had over 3000 Elders on that same Ils. but being on the same Island might have been the problem Biniam did suggest the right plans in that he said he like it very much but nothing else happened so I gather from what u said that the AUESTS keep coming and Blake did arrive in Embassa what do I do with him? Again thanks for all your help I hate to be a pest but I love this game

Your welcome. You've built on the right island, that's not a problem.
Blake will start asking quest. Follow his story line but stay true to helping Enbesa not the queen.
Your on the right track...it just takes awhile to get there. Just be patient..the game will get you there.

I played for 3 to 4 hours more but still no quests asked?? Maybe I missed the boat I got a couple of quests, Towers in sync and goats singing but missed fur coats to Blakes diplomatic boat

Your looking for the quest: Biniam's Vision - Great Expertise
He request that you click on a group of Engineers. They may be in your Old World main island. Check for a yellow arrow bobbing above them. ? You have reached and built some Engineers haven't you ? If not that may be the hold up.
After that the Quest: The Research Institution should come up at some point.
