It looks like Anno 1800 is the game, and the two Benchmarks are DirectX tests. They each pan the camera over a well-developed city and the frame rate is displayed. I guess one then chooses whichever has the better frame rate, setting it in the game's options.
I've set the game's graphics to low quality. To be honest, I didn't notice any reduction in graphical quality, but the frame rate improved. I got slightly better results in the Benchmark tests using DX11.
How can i see what DX my pc is running and where do i change it to DX 11. in game if thats not what the PC is using.
Sorry for this question but i am no data guru.
Change between DX11 and DX12 in the game's options menu. Try both Benchmark tests and see which performs better.
One can also activate in-game fps display in the UPlay settings.
I did check it up but what i wanted to know was if i could change it in the game.
But i found out.
It's google taking me here, you smart ass.
Run DXDIAG from the run prompt in Windows. Will tell you what your system is running. Gives some useful info.
Some OS versions, specifically Windows 11, can run either dx11 or dx12 as there is support for both. Older versions of Windows may only have dx11 support.
Thanks for taking the time to share this advice jhughes, appreciate it!

Do you not get the option when first launching the game like the original poster mentioned they do?
