Marathon download !!

Hi gang :)
Just a quickie... Game works fine for me....just one weird thing happening.....
Downloaded ok but then went into an update of 192MB....5 hours later ...it's still updating...WTF...it's a tiny file !!!

Maybe your steam download region is overloaded, perhaps switch it temporarily to the next closest region and try again.

In the past I've had to switch from like Los Angles to San Jose to get a proper download speed when L.A. was overloaded.

tnx for the quick response 'City' :) It's not bothering me, am just curious as to what's happening. Wondered if anyone else had the same problem. I will probably just let it run. Am hoping it completes later.

Yes, same issue here. 192MB patch should take like 10 seconds to download and install, yet 2 hours later it still working in it, and every few minutes it downloads like 1-2MB, after that the disk usage goes to 240MB/s for several minutes, then it says "allocating", and then it repeats it over and over. Doesn't seem to be a download speed issue, because all other games updated and downloaded fine. It's something with that patch that makes the SSD keep writing the files over and over. SSD has more than enough space. I can download and update other games just fine within seconds and minutes.

Awesome, and I thought I'll support Steam instead of other stores.

No issues for me, i started down loading and it took a while to syn the data but I have no issues now and playing the game just fine.

Anyway, just to assure the rest of you...It does complete.....eventually !

that sounds more like: it downloads a file, patches that into the 25gb of the game, downloads the next file and so on.

having the same problem stuck at 190.5mb, download speed 0kbps, shows regular disk usage... never faced this problem before, any suggestions?

I had mine download over night since it told me 4 hours. It's now saying it still needs to download but it isn't giving me any sort of timetable and it doesn't seem to be actually downloading. I'm not really sure what's going on. My knowledge of computer downloading is about equivalent to the average American's knowledge of computers.
