Downloading the game (After Pre-Installing)

Is anyone elses game downloading the last 200mb but it doesnt seem to be going anywhere, Ive been sat doing this for about an hour and it says current network usage is 0.00kb yet my router is getting on average 100mbps... Any help would be appreciated

It's not downloading anything. It's, I guess, unpacking. ;) Try to start Anno 1800 and you should see a progress there.

You can safely assume preloading is for people with non-stable/slow internet speed. It downloads pre-packaged(encrypted/compressed) file, and it does require unpacking progress after launch, which is highly dependent on CPU and storage device speed. (hence usually it reads 0.00kb download speed, as it technically isn't downloading anything.)

If you have fast internet above 100mpbs+, it might just be faster to download after launch than going unpacking process.

If you meant 'pre-allocating' thing for update, it usually happens when game data files are packaged, and have to be manually unpacked and repacked on your storage device to be updated.

If you go do your (steamfolder)\steamapps\downloading\916440\ you can see entire file is temporarily created there to be go through that process. It can take some time depending on your storage device speed.

Take a look in your task manager. You should see a 100% usage of your harddrive.
