How to "Take Photo"

This isn't a quest. I have a double arrow over my fleet and when I touch it, it says "take photo" - how to do it? Not a screenshot, I've done that. Is there another command for photo ops?

I believe I have the same issue, I don't have a "take photo" quest, yet there still are floating arrows above all boats saying "take photo". When I press it, it doesn't do anything :( I also can't seem to figure out if there is a key control to take pictures. Might be a bug :/

Same issue here. Tried postcard mode I found in the controls menu. Can't find a take photo button, either.

In the quest there is a button "take photo". That makes your screen look like a camera. If you found the correct things black arrows appear at the edges and you jsut leftclick.

It did that for the initial colony photo quest, but there is no option for the random ships.

As far as I can tell, one of the AI players will have a quest available to take a photo of it!

I had the arrows over my dolphinarium, then I clicked on one of the quest ships and the quest was to take a photo of a dolphinarium. Photo taken, quest completed, arrows have gone away.
So this looks like a minor quest bug where the arrows are popping up as soon as the quest is available, rather than once you accept it.

it will only take a picture, if the markers are on the screen (some triangles on the sides) - which indicate that you have the correct object in focus. Move around your city and have a look if they appear. Maybe when focussing the trading post.

That's what worked for me. One of the random ships with a star over it hanging around outside an AI's base gave me the Take Photo quest.

I've had this happen, as well. And with me it's happened at times I've built my first ship. The first time, a few minutes later I got a quest from one of the AI to take a photo of a ship. So I thought okay, that's why. Second time, that didn't happen. The "take a photo" prompts went away soon after though.

Sounds like the second time the quest was one of the ones you have to pick up yourself by clicking on stars.
