Farmers - do we need to keep them ?
I mean having them in the middle of my pretty city is a sore in my eye!

yes, workers do not work in lumberjack huts or sawmills, you need farmers to operate this buildings.

therefore you most likely have not enough ressources to build whatever you wanted to build in which case a blueprint gets placed instead of the building.

Move your low resources jobs to another island and trade back to main.

yes, that's how it was in real life too. in anno games, i eventually have my agriculture on another island and auto route it to my town. but, i have never liked it that these large towns form on such small islands. 1503 had a feeling of larger islands.

many islands are big enough to make farming villages separate from the main town. The only service farmers need is pubs anyway so you dont suffer by doing this.

not big enough for me. and, i'm the one playing my game. and, not that big, even, when you even have an island editor as in 1503.
