System requirements 1080p 60fps ?
I run an i7-4790k 4GHz, a GTX 970 G1 Gaming and 8 GB Ram. The game is not smoothly playable on high settings and I don't even start from Ultra. The requirements for the Open Beta are simply wrong. Teaches me better, but my system manages the game at 60fps only on average. I play with a resolution of 1920x1080.

I agree, I used the default graphics settings it picked for me in the beta with my 980ti and while it is 60 fps when I'm zoomed right in, it can't hold a steady framerate as I manipulate the camera around the world.

Same. It put it on ultra, but I needed very high instead.

I have not checked, but for me it automaticlly gave ultra everything. Rx 580 8gb

performace is pretty horrid, on ultra it flips between 30/60 fps. what I find more disturbing is that the GPU is at 100% all the time and temps of the GPU are higher then normal.

tested on a GTX 1080 8gb at 1080p

On Ultra DX 11 .. dont know if there is a problem !? maybe my GPU sucks .. idk

>>>>>>>>UPDATE<<<<<<<<<
my GPU cant handle the game on ultra or even very high, with VSYNC on i got these 20fps caped at 50ms.

I hope they will edit the system requirements asap
BTW: use the latest nVidia driver

performace is poor on ultra - 32-90 fps. rtx2070. 1080p

Hey everyone,

I am sorry to hear you are getting low performance in-game on systems that meet the and exceed the requirements for those settings. I would recommend doing the steps on this FAQ {LINK REMOVED}

If the performance is still not meeting what is in our system requirements, please create a support ticket on our support website and include {LINK REMOVED}

This allows us to track and investigate this. Thanks!

Or you know, write the real requirements on store page, not the fake one to get more sales.
Just sayin'.

just on a side note its the AA and the ultra setting that causes the frame drops. On high settings and AA set to 4x everything is fine.

I also tested it on a RTX 2080 ti at 4K resolution and it gave the same results on Ultra.

Or, you could read what Houck said. The requirements on the store page are correct.

There have been videos done over the years, showcasing two computers with the exact same set ups, one computer works flawlessly, the other does not, and there's no discernable reason for it not to.

Instead of accusing them of lying, how about you try to better understand? But understanding requires effort.

AA has been notorious for FPS issues for years. Can't say I'm surprised this is the source of the problem for some. No idea why AA is so consistently the problem, especially with some of the more demanding, and recent, new graphical features we have these days.

FPS is horrible for me on very high settings 1080p. GTX 1660 Ti, 16GB 3000Mhz, Ryzen 5 2600 3.4Ghz. When the camera is stationary I get 80FPS but moving the camera dips down to 30s.

Well. all I can say is the experience that I am having. I tried the open BETA to see if my system (which apart from the GPU) is old. I have a 1st gen i7 2.8ghz CPU coupled with 16gb of RAM and a GTX 1660ti and it runs like melted butter on the surface of the sun at 1080p on very high settings. The graphics look awesome and smooth. No stuttering whatsoever. I ordered the game now through Steam. Beautiful game.

Looks like a performance issue on the games side.

I did read some benchmark tests and even a 2080 TI is not able to get more than 60 FPS on Ultra settings at FullHD and 30 FPS at 4k. The results for a 1080 TI are even worse

Dsogaming Benchmark Test [www.dsogaming.com]
Computerbase Benchmark Test [www.computerbase.de]
Benchmark Test [www.notebookcheck.com]

My setup:
  • AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
  • Nvidia RTX 2080-Ti
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 C16 4x16GB

While i play on Ultra in 1080p the FPS will never go higher than 60 in a high density area, while i get up to 300-400 in a low density area.
My system is not even near full load whit these settings.
The GPU takes a nap with 1-10% total load even while loading into the game and my CPU runs between 10-20% and then subtract 2-5% for the operating system

This problem is not uncommon, there are many posts on Reddit and similar forums where people have high end PCs and the game does run on "low" ~50-60 FPS while not using all the resources that are available.

I did read that a CPU with a weak single core performance may not be able to handle the game in the sense that one core in running at 100%, while the other ones are idle.
And i think this could be the problem or the main problem.

I get stable 60 FPS on Ultra but only one core is really in use while the game is running. This one core that handles the game averages at 70 to 80% load.

So in conclusion (TL;DR):

It looks like the single thread requirement is the problem here (or at least for me).
I am not sure how high they are, but to run the game with 4k Ultra settings you need a CPU that has to be invented first.
To be really sure that the single core performance is the problem, someone would have to make some tests with a strong single core CPU, but on the other side my Ryzen 9 3900X is one of the strongest CPUs that you can currently buy, with a really good single core performance
CPU Benchmark Single Thread Performance[www.cpubenchmark.net]

And if really that is the problem, there is not much someone can do, except buying a strong single Thread CPU

But there is at least a positive side on this:
My computers stays near room temperature while playing the game. Games like Destiny 2 can heat my GPU fairly well at Ultra 4k

I have that GPU aswell, try disabling V-Sync. That helped a lot in my experience.
Despell Oct 13, 2019 @ 9:32am
V-Sync on or off makes no real difference for me, i played a lot around with the settings and the biggest change occurs when is switch from DX11 to DX12.

Like i said, the biggest problem i noticed by myself is that the game seemingly does not utilize multi threading and puts the whole load on a single core, which is fatal for weaker CPUs.
