I am planning to see how many new features the expansion will bring and how big the influence on the "base" content will be. Based on that I will either start a new game or just enable it during load. If you consider how little "The Passage" changed in the old world, there was really no need to start a new game.

I think - not positive- that once you down load the dlc- the next time you start any saved game you will be given the option to load it into the game, but if you chose not to you will not get a second chance unless you load a safe prior to the one you opted not on. Follow that?? Read all the info it says something like this choice is permanent ----------?

If it affects your current game that much you can always close it and start your current game with out the added dlc then start a new game with it so you'll have both games to play. Just note the time/save date before you accept the dlc.
