Losing game and I don`t know why

I`m new in the game, had two islands everything going well and the game say I lose and don`t know what happen. Please any idea.

How far in debt were you? Were your island shares bought out by an opponent?

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. About 10 hours in.
Everything went fine, nothing was pointing to any issues,... I had all the islands I needed, no war, no warnings,... suddenly I get a "You loose!" Screen, without any explanation and go back to the main menu.

Kind of strange and I am sorry, but I can't offer any solutions to your issues, apart from saying: "me too!".

Was it a sandbox game? U might have to check the win conditions, u can loose if an AI gets to a certain population limit or gold.

Would be nice if the game just told you why it ends.
After all, the game spams you with pretty much every event, no matter how unimportant it may be,... kinda odd to not simply name the reason for a defeat, no? ;-)

this is the biggest issue i have with the game, all you get is defeat or Victory screen without any charts telling you about players performance, if you are a looser you don't even know who actually won the game... so weird , why on earths would devs not want us to know who was the winner ...am I really the only one having problem with the end screen and thinking it is so unsatisfactory and bad ?
