Won't be buying
Anyone that migrates away from Steam is off my radar. You're probably going to Epic...haven't even checked.

Along with this title, I won't be buying Satisfactory, which was another cool looking game.

I don't care about Fortenight because I'm not 12.

Besides, UbiSoft is pro DRM, and super French. Easiest $60 saved ever.

Bye Felicia.

The first time that I deviated from that and bought from a then well known online store (legitimate store think from memory it was D2D) they sold out to some other company and my games went missing saying they were not available on the new company's platform.

No thanks. While I'd really like 1800, I'm not going to feel pressured into 'buy it now or never on Steam' nor have to buy it from other services that I don't use.

I don't mind games being available on other stores than Steam.
I have a problem with them being removed from steam, and offered and exclusive deal to Epic Store. Essentially being forced to buy it somewhere else :/

Agree Cybot. Competition is good. Monopoly forces an issue. As a 10 + year Steam gamer, I'll pick Steam every time. I don't even have Battlenet installed these days, despite owning many entries in their three main IP's. Steam's platform has successfully kept itself sleek and simple.

Same with me ... Not buying this game given their Epic whoredom.

Ubisoft has a long history of making their PC game releases as difficult for paying customers as possible. They made a decision to do always on DRM way back in the early 2000's and finally gave it up in 2012 after they lost millions in sales. Paying customers had to resort to pirate site DRM cracks in order to play the game they purchased. They almost drove themselves out of business and finally were forced to relent. It seems Ubi has learned absolutely nothing since as they renew their war against the consumer. Why even make games? You clearly have no interest in allowing consumers to play and enjoy them. Ubi upper management is a complete joke.

Just buy it on Uplay, all uplay games on steam are launched through uplay anyway. And then you can add the game to on steam even than.

Maybe in some sense, but their fine print is pretty specific about data collected. It's an acceptable level to most people. I still happen to have an optical drive in my latest build because I keep transferring it. But let's be honest...it's 2019.

The DRM of the future are platforms that stream games from the cloud, like the BS google announced a week or two ago.

He is likely referring to the days when Ubisoft made the decision to require always online DRM - any internet disruption and your game cut out - that they implemented in the early 2000's and abandoned in 2012 after massive consumer backlash and years of protest. Ubi titles were so bad that paying customers had to download pirate cracks for their paid copies of the games.

Honestly, their games aren't even worth pirating. I have one or two Assasin's Creed titles in my library that have never been installed since purchase...going on a few years.

My wallet thanks you, Ubisoft.

I buy games on steam, not on the release date, but shortly after IF the vids, forums and reviews are favorable. I will not be buying the game prior to launch just because you are pulling it from steam.

And since I cant buy it here after the reviews are in, then I guess you lost yet another customer.

I have every Anno game ever released.. until now...

No worries, I have another 100 games on my wishlist. Time to go spend some money... on steam...
