Why a WEEK before release?

Why couldn't this news come, I don't, a freaking year ago? I've been looking forward to this FOREVER, and now a month beforehand you're giving it to Epic?

I refuse to play anything on Epic Store, and I refuse to support developers who give exclusives to epic store.

Have you read those reviews ? All bad review I read said the game was awesome but they downvoted it because they had to use Uplay to play it.

The game is just being review bombed because they went with Ubisoft. Id hardly count those reviews especially when the negative review says the game is good.

Obviously the word usage is hyperbolic but that's exactly what it is. Consumer choice is taken away because someone is literally paying another person to not put their product somewhere else. So if you're someone like principal such as myself then I no longer get the choice of who my money goes to I would prefer to go to the developer but I'm not going to have a cent of my money go to Epic on principal so I will go without the game.

First of all, wrong principle, and second off, if you actually had any principles, the developer making an exclusive release while you advocate for free markets would make you boycott the game title not buy it off uplay store.

Steam already implimented a Review bomb countermeasure system. So that excuse only gets you so far. Also your telling me we were review bombing Annomo games back in 2017?

How? They'd probably benefit even more than without this stunt because of panic and would-be buyers that now feel tempted to buy the game here before it's too late. The majority will also just buy the game regardless of platform, it's only a vocal minority that is against the Epic Games store and the exclusivity deals.

If you buy this game on Steam or anywhere else you're directly supporting the publishers in doing whatever the hell they want. I for one will not be purchasing the game, fully aware that it will not change anything.

I'm not a fan of Epic or Oculus exclusives, but what you're describing is basically how PC gaming has been forever.

If you want to play LoL, you download the League client. If you want to play Everquest you download the... whatever that client is now - it used to be Sony but pretty sure that changed. Same for dozens, hundreds, thousands of other games on PC.

I have about a dozen launchers installed, but I only run them when I want to play a particular game. Can be a pain because I have to wait for downloads, but it's not a huge deal. Sometimes I just run them before taking the dog for a walk, knowing it'll be up to date when I get back. Some Destiny 2 updates I've had to take the dog out for an extra walk. She's kinda lazy so that's been a whole thing.

I know its hyperbolic but I find it quite exaggerated still. We live in first world countries, we dont suffer. ;-) I was homeless for 7 years and I barely went hungry. Try that in Syria. Haha

But listen, Im not trying to diminish anyone, I was just nitpicking at the choice of word. Nothing more really.

The problem people are facing is really just the cause of capitalism, the way we do business as a society. If people dont like it, I would suggest they try to fight the real enemy.

Just my two cents of course.

Let me tell you something. (Well keep in mind, I don't play Fortnite either ;-) )

My friend play Fortnite. She is 32 yrs old. Fortnite is the only game she plays. She doesn't hang out on the internet at all. She doesn't even know game forums exist, she doesn't know anything behind, all that "politics", all the controversy, etc etc, she knows nothing of it because she lives her life outside of the internet.

She just happened to try Fortnite one day because it was free and she like it.

How is she a garbage person ?! Cant people just enjoy things anymore ? Are people ignorant of actuality in a certain topic "garbage" ?

Are you a garbage person simply because you dont have the same values/principles and morals as me ? Am I ?

I think its a little exaggerated to call them garbage.

Il buy it wherever available, but I do have my favorite, it goes : Steam, then all the others.

But if not available on Steam, I don't really care that much.
