Ship trading/ports have returned.
Random island generation has returned.
Ship battles in building sessions has returned.
Day/night cycle has been removed
Basically much more micro management was brought back instead of 2205's streamlined approach.
Im fairly sold on what I am hearing, one more detail that could be a deal breaker. Any MTX? Loot boxes? Or other pay to win features?
It's Ubisoft so they'll be doing something, but won't say right now. There was paid DLC menu in the beta so expect a bunch just like all of their other games. If they don't try to sell day/night cycle I'd be shocked. They've done it before in Anno.
+1
Personally I have yet really seen Anno 1404/2070 as best part of the Anno series. When Anno 1404 is played in the past, Anno 2070 is played in near future with amazing underwater base maintaining. Both also had the best gameplay mechanics, UI Interface, multiplayer etc pp and especially the well-known infrastructure and trading.
Though 1404 and 2070 so their predecessors gone a bit repetitive in gameplay. Always going to max tier by doing same steps. This system has gone little different since Anno 2205 which I welcome for variety.
Anno 1701 was worst part of the whole Anno Universe!!
Yes, Anno 1800 looks like Anno 1404 and even better, but gameplay mechanics etc are nearly as same as in Anno 2205, as it has been same for 1404 & 2070. Though, in 1800 we don't have orbital/space missions etc. However, in 2205 we haven't got Multiplayer which is truly sad.
Anno 2205 was different in gameplay and also (a bit) harder to maintain compared to its predecessors, but you gonna see the same stuff from Anno 2205 in Anno 1800. Just watch some YouTube Videos: Anno 1800 Closed Beta Gameplay.
So it seems, since Anno 2205 we have got a new Anno standard in maintaining and gameplay, infrastructure and UI, while the Developers of Anno 1800 brings elements from 1404 and 2205 within together
I gonna pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Anno 1800 anyways, since I have been an Anno-Fan since 1602, when I was about 12 years old, and so to also support and to keep the Annoverse alive.
And please don't mind this Anti-Denuvo stuff. Who cares. It is not even Spyware. Just play and have fun.
