Is there a way to see bounding grid numbers ?
I like to make my city layout as accurate as possible with no wasted space, ocd and all that. Is there a way when dragging out roads to see how many grids your roads are taking up, this would making boxes so much easier.

Just use the cost of the road as your ruler, or if you want grid numbers just use dirt roads and divide the cost by 3

not the best tip, dirt roads don't increase by 3 all the time. i've seen it increase by 2 on several occassions, it will be off by a few blocks. it's more accurately 2.6 or 2.7 but the game doesn't work on decimals.

Using roads as rulers is how everyone has done it for every Anno game since the dawn of time.

Are you using blueprint mode? It is a tiny button on bottom right when you are building your city. It allows you to put ghost copies of everything down without actually spending any money. You can lay out an entire city and then as the game plays, you just "upgrade" the ghost to a real building.

You can even ghost out all of your industries. I played for hours without realizing this feature was there. It is so awesome. And I don't need to count grids anymore, because I can lay down the buildings first and then just wrap the roads around them however I want.

I also want to add that the ghost police/fire/etc. also highlight how far they reach. So you know everything you need.

i'm sure it is but dividing by 3 will not give the correct number. other ANNO games also showed you a number for how many tiles long it was.
