IMPOSSIBLE to beat bots by war?!

So the title is the question.

I'm waging war against an easy bot. I find it impossible to actually beat him out of the game.

I can kill all his ships and ports easy, I swarm in there with a fleet of ship of the lines and hes gone in seconds.

But I dont want to have all the islands tanking my economy so I take them and delete the ports - Islands are completly empty again.

He has no islands in the old or new world, still hes at like 50% of my economy in the diplomacy screen and new ports are popping up every 4 to 5 minutes, it's ridiculous!


Simple question: How the ♥♥♥♥ do you beat a bot so he's not coming back all the ♥♥♥♥ing time?

Seems odd. Managed to kill almost every NPC on expert.
And by kill i mean completly erased every ship & island and got the message that one got defeated. Also isn't in the diplomecy menu anymore.
The only NPC that you can't kill / defeat are the Pirates. They will come back after some time, although that might be a setting, not sure.
But it should be possible to kill them for good.
Maybe they have a small island somewhere where they still produce goods?

Sort out your economy and build a harbour on each island you conquer or you could even build up a lump sum then while its slowly draining away due to the harbours wipe out the AI. That's what im doing currently ive got 3 mil in the war fund most likely overkill :) but yeah you get my idea.

I think you forgot a small island, just uncover complete map.
I think a bot dies, if the hasnt any island.
It shouldn't be so hard, i started the game on expert and i won, only the big island is hard to conquer, because you need like 15-25 liners because of 3+ bertas

How were you able to build so much ships? I can only build 10 max until my influence is 0.

you get more influence from a higher population.
The greater problem ist, where you spend your influence, Ships, islands, def towers, tradiing post, newspaper, island shares, all that costs influence, just look in the right of the money, there is an overview
