How do you get ship morale to go up so they can do expeditions?

equipping items in the ship's slots, loading rations and other goods. And if you're lucky, throughout the expedition the morale might increase depending on the decisions and their outcome.

I had a ship for the Isabel expedition that morale was at 79%. I added cognac and food and morale was boosted to 86%. And they were able to complete the expedition and now, I'm in the new world. So, equipping more items helps. I just wish I added wood for building though.

I've had harder expeditions where moral without items were 40% and with items it was 100%. I've also wen't from 100% to zero and lost my ship on expeditions because I made several wrong choices.

doesn't isabell provide you with some initial building ressources?

highest difficulty expedition will require epic and rare items to be equiped in your ship.
