Oil Tanker: Nav 0, NP 0
Schooner: Nav 20 , NP 0
Clipper: Nav 20, NP 0
Cargo Ship: Nav 20, NP 0
Note that the larger ships have more slots, so they're better than the smaller ones despite having the same base stat bonus.
Gunboat: Nav 20, NP 10
Frigate: Nav 10, NP 20
Flagship: Nav 15, NP 20
Monitor: Nav 20, NP 30
Ship of the Line: Nav 0, NP 50
Battle Cruiser: Nav 0, NP 70
Steam ships also seem to have a special attribute "steam-powered" that they can use in some expedition checks to automatically succeed. E.g. I had a battle cruiser run into a sailing ship entangled in algae and kelp with no wind blowing, and the cruiser could simply tow it out of there thanks to it being a steamer.
Can you link to where you found this please,
just hover the ships in the shipyard and look at the "expedition bonus"
Ahh ok
