Problem buying in Uplay-store...
Hey guys, because the game isn't available on steam anymore I want to buy it on Uplay. But the problem is that Ubisoft won't let me buy their game... I used two codes now for 20% off and both now don't work after I got an error message after trying to buy the game. WHAT IS THAT ****?!
Anyone can help?

you have to contact the ubisoft support directly through their homepage/uplay client.

They want $90 AU for it in the ubisoft store so I won't be buying it now.

I have the same problem. I chatted with the support and they said that I should wait for a few days. How is it possible that there is such a big delay when buying the game online ?

I too used 100u to get the 20% off to purchase Anno 1800... but when applying it at checkout it didn't do a thing.

I was then going to try it again from home, but I never got the email with the code (I copied and pasted the code when I got the 20% coupon originally).

My Case # 08736955

I have the same problem with Geraint since 19th April.
I've opened a ticket 08682766 but they still don't solve the problem

I tried to buy the game with the 20% off on Mar 7th. Now I am sitting on a support case and several pending credit card charges on 3 different cards. I don't even care about the 20% off at this point, I just want the game. To top it off, the support case is just being bounced between people, at least one who clearly didn't read the previous correspondence as they asked me a question that was answered in the 1st sentence of my original case.

Case: 08834360

Edit: well at least they finally cleared the duplicate credit card charges down to just the 1 pending.

They sat on my case and cleared all previous credit charge then told me to buy it again. Buying it again this time failed out to a 404 page, added the game purchase to my order history page (but only for the web client, the uplay client doesn't see it), but not to my games.

I updated the customer support case, trying to reach the instant messenger support but just being given errors instead. I tried a few times to start a IM chart and it turns out each time it "failed" to start a chat and told me to try again later, it was appending to the current case so now my current case has 5ish copy pastas on it and has been sitting since yesterday.

It has never been this hard for me to buy a video game ever. This Ubisoft, is why you shouldn't have left steam. I personally couldn't care less if there are more platforms/competition, but the Uplay store is several years old and can't handle online transactions correctly and their support hasn't been helpful at all yet. So far their prevalent solution is "Please wait 24 hours and try again". At least steam works.

I have also had the same issue. Have tried multiple computers, a different account, different payment types, different networks, with a VPN.....all have failed. Pretty ridiculous one has to go through that many hoops to get a game.

They have passed my case to their internal team that is supposed to email me when it has an update. That was two days ago. Hopefully I hear back soon.

Update: My friend was able to log in as me from a different state without using 2FA I had enabled, and bought it for me without a single issue. Using privacy.com just like I had tried originally. I guess the issue was centered around my address then? Hell if I know. But their 2FA is useless if it only checks on the client. I sent in a support ticket to that effect.

That is an odd place for Customer Service. I don't have an account on either I would use for such a purpose.

There is a complete breakdown on the use by many users of the software purchasing system at the UbiSoft store. It appears to reject any use of a Debit card, however perfectly it performs everywhere else. Why? Customer service is automated to the point where even such responses are subjected to pre-scripted and inane advice regarding a solution. And yet all this hassle and frustration comes to people trying to spend money via the online purchasing software from an organisation that develops....software! The customer service is the worst I've come across to date and smacks of being 'call-centre' based, whether or not it actually is I have no idea. Certainly since an english language copy of the Anno 1800 is only available in the UK via the developers webstore by means of download it leaves customers absolutely no where else to go to obtain the product. And it's been going on for 12 weeks or more? Ubisoft truly don't deserve the business.
